  • June 3rd, 2016 will herald the debut EP release from Chicago's thrash / hardcore crossover outfit Riotous Indignation.

    This EP, titled "Violentus Musicae," is up for pre-order right here and was recorded, edited and produced by Mike Repel, with mixing handled by Nick Bellmore (Toxic Holocaust, Jasta, Kingdom of Sorrow) at Dexters Labs Milford, Connecticut. "Violentus Misicae" was mastered by none other than Chris "Zeuss" Harris.
  • Chicago hardcore act Riotous Indignation just released their debut EP, Violentus Musicae, and with it, have unveiled an NSFW video for the song “Secret Societies.” Vocalist Mike Repel says that most of the songs on the EP are angry social commentary about the world we live in.” That certainly fits the video...
  • ....but every once in a while, a hardcore band will surprise me, like the Chicago based Riotous Indignation. Their first ever release, Violentus Musicae (EP), came out early this June. Though this band may be primarily a hardcore one, there are elements of thrash that make this one a raw and aggressive beast.
  • Admittedly I knew nothing of the band when I agreed to give their debut EP Violentus Musicae consideration for review here in A&GS. I quickly found out that there is definitely something happening with these guys.
  • The lyrics and Repel’s vocalizations are some of the more striking aspects of the album. He seems pissed about the way the world is today and lays out plenty of examples of how humanity is being used by the global elite.
